Getting Started
How do I add my first vehicle?
Just open the app — no sign-up needed. Tap the "+" button and select "Add Vehicle", then enter your vehicle's make, model, year, and current odometer reading. You can add more details later.
How do I log a fuel purchase or service record?
Tap the "+" button and select "Add Record". Choose the category (Refuel, Service, etc.), enter the details, and save. The record will be linked to your selected vehicle.
Accounts & Sync
Do I need an account to use Odometer?
No. On the Free and Lifetime plans, Odometer works fully on your device with no sign-up — your logbook stays on your phone. An account is only needed for the Premium subscription, which adds cloud backup and AI receipt scanning.
How does cloud sync work?
Cloud sync is a Premium feature. When you subscribe to Premium and sign in with Google or Apple, your vehicles, records, reminders, photos, and attachments are backed up and kept in sync across your devices, so you can restore them if you switch phones or reinstall the app.
How do I delete my account?
Premium subscribers can delete their account in Settings under "Delete My Account". The account and all cloud-stored data are scheduled for deletion after a 30-day grace period, during which you can cancel by signing back in or emailing us. On the Free and Lifetime plans there is no account — deleting your data in the app, or removing the app, erases everything from your device.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Purchases are tied to your Apple ID. On a new device, sign in to the App Store with the same Apple ID, then open Settings in the app and tap "Restore Purchases" to bring back your Lifetime unlock or Premium subscription. To restore synced cloud data, Premium subscribers also sign in with Google or Apple.
Troubleshooting
The app isn't syncing my data
- Cloud sync requires an active Premium subscription — check it's active in Settings
- Make sure you're signed in with Google or Apple (Settings)
- Check your internet connection
- Try closing and reopening the app
- If the issue persists, contact support
I'm not receiving reminder notifications
- Check that notifications are enabled in your device settings
- Make sure the app has permission to send notifications
- Verify your reminder is set up correctly with a future date/mileage
Quick Capture isn't working
- Ensure you have an active Premium subscription
- Check your internet connection (AI processing requires connectivity)
- Try taking a clearer photo of your receipt
